Mariette is a Chartered Accountant, registered with both the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA). She completed her training contract with Baker Tilly in Cape Town in December 2020, subsequently serving as an Audit Manager. In February 2023, Mariette joined the Baker Tilly Cayman team to continue her professional journey.
With seven years of experience in audit and accounting, Mariette possesses expertise in both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Her audit experience spans a variety of industries, including investment funds, hedge funds, private equity, agriculture, manufacturing, and retail.
